FAQS

How much increase in horsepower does Extrude Honing make?

Extrude Honing is a process that forces a slightly abrasive putty through engine components via hydraulic power to remove materials form the inner walls. The removal process results in a smooth, polished surface and can improve airflow by approximately 15 percent.

By creating an obstruction-free passage to allow for fuel, air, and gases to pass through the engine more quickly, you can experience a 25 to 30 percent increase in flow capacity. How that flow capacity increase translates to horsepower is largely dependent on the configuration of your equipment, but in automotive applications you can expect a five to 10 horsepower increase on average.
