Request a custom estimate
Now that you know about our services, we recommend that you contact us to receive a free custom estimate for each component you’re considering sending to Extrude Hone AFM. Our AFM process is always specifically designed for each unique application, so it may take us a few days to get back to you with your estimate, but rest assured, we spring into action anytime we receive a request for an estimate.
For each application, the media utilized – which is a plastic, abrasive-laden polymer, is adjusted to selectively and controllably abrade the surfaces it flows across. The media is specially formulated to suspend the abrasive particles uniformly while continuously allowing them to recirculate, ensuring fresh abrasive is always available at the surface. Viscosity and rheology profiles vary according to the exact intended results. Our media has incredibly durable properties that allow it to flow through components seamlessly without clogging, separating, or breaking down, even after continuous cycling.
How long will it take?
You may be wondering how long it will take for your component(s) to be extrude honed. Processing times vary, but when you call to request an estimate, we’ll be glad to also give you an estimated amount of time it will take to process your component(s). We’ll work as efficiently as possible without sacrificing quality work.
We have thousands of pounds of media inventory on hand to eliminate the need to extend the lead time for our customers during the media production step of the process.
